What you will do


    Perform standard DBA support tasks for multiple instances, multiple servers, multiple customers, and multiple interfaces

    Meet service level agreements for production support response and resolution.

    Experience with Oracle EBS Apps  cloning , upgrades , implementation and maintenance (versions 11i,12.1,12.2).

    Experience with Oracle EBS Apps installation , implementation (versions 11i,12.1,12.2)

    Manage EBS instances on the Oracle Public Cloud.

    Utilize core database skills to maintain key processes like archiving, monitoring, replication, integrity and security.

    Ensure Data backup, recovery policies, Database Security and Production support.

    Implement and test disaster recovery plan.

    Follow documentation, software development methodology, version control and testing, and migration standards.

    Creation, update, resolution of Oracle service requests (SRs)

    Ability to manage time across multiple, simultaneous projects

    Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a member of a team, as well as the maturity to work independently


 


Required Qualifications


 


    Analyze performance issues in the application, concurrent manager and database tiers of E-Business Suite installations.

    Install, patch, upgrade, migrate, configure, tune and maintain the Oracle E-business Suite 11i,12 (single tier & multi Tiers) and Oracle databases (all versions)

    Strong hands-on technical knowledge of ORACLE RAC architecture, Backup & recovery, database cloning, Grid installation and upgrade.

    Work on Data guard setups for both applications and databases.

    Fail-over capabilities testing of E-Business Suite and database.

    Strong experience in Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP) Setups.

    Strong experience in Cluster setups for both applications and databases.

    Strong experience in DMZ setups to E-Business Suite.

    Integrating E-Business Suite with other environments such as (SOA, OSB, OBIEE, OTM, IPM …).

    Experience in Advanced EBS Technologies, SSO, EBS Security , standard & Advanced Security (DB Vault, Data Masking ,TDE … ).

    Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

Oracle Hyperion Functional Consultant - Egypt

Oracle Hyperion Functional Consultant in a multinational company in Egypt


Job Description


Note: this position does not require Infrastructure skills such as hands-on installing and upgrading of Oracle Hyperion on-prem products. The main focus is the Functional side. However, knowledge from an Operations perspective is required, including as many as possible of the following: metadata maintenance, lifecycle (migration of artifacts between non-Prod and Prod environments), integrations, data management, fix at the Functional level (e.g. slow retrieve due to application design issue), data and metadata loads, etc.


Also, It's NOT for a Support Engineer role, but rather for a professional who gets acquainted with customers’ financial business operations which are handled by Oracle and acts as a main point of contact for the customers. Has to make use of one’s own knowledge as well as to navigate all the resources available within Oracle to handle customers’ questions, concerns and reported issues if they relate to the Functional and Operational level of Oracle EPM/Hyperion environments. For issues which fall outside of the scope of this position, such as Infrastructure/installation problems or software defects, making sure that Support Engineers understand the customer’s issue, and promptly satisfying any questions and requests from Support to keep the fix effort moving forward.



Skills Required


    Application design, development of various application artifacts such as forms and rules, testing, fix (working in conjunction with Oracle Support as needed), pre- and post-implementation activities across the Hyperion/EPM product suite (cloud and on-prem)

    If a candidate has experience only with Hyperion (on-prem) and not with EPM (SaaS), they must be willing and able to learn EPM Cloud and grow their skills to serve cloud customers as well; it is critical to have the ability to use the available training resources in a self-guided manner and to “learn while doing.”

    Experience integrating EPM with other systems using Data Management, adaptors, etc.

    Experience in interacting with business users to analyze the business process and discovering requirements.

    Ability to maintain Optimum availability of EPM Environments

    Ability to build, monitor, and migrate product-related application artifacts proactively.

    Deep functional knowledge around financial systems and processes

    Strong problem-solving skills (from an Application/Functional/Operational perspective).

    Work in a fast-paced environment and master unfamiliar concepts quickly with little supervision

    Knowledge of EPM Automate; scripting a plus (Batch, VBScript, Python, and/or PowerShell)


Skills (good to have)


    Knowledge of OAC-Essbase, Essbase 19c and Essbase 21c will be a plus.

    Implementation experience in DRM

    EPMA to DRM migration for Hyperion 11.1.2.x to 11.2.x


Responsibilities


    Be able to conduct functional implementation of budgetary projects using EPM Planning Cloud

    Develop integrations using EPM Data Management or FDMEE

    Compose financial reports using EPM Planning Cloud Reporting tools, or EPM OnPremise Reporting tools

    Design business rules and calculations for EPM Planning Cloud or OnPremise, as well as MAXL scripts for custom tasks when required

    Design and implement input and followup forms for the various budgetary tasks and phases

    Design and implement budgetary approval flows

    Design and implement EPM Planning takes lists to assist budgetary users on the correct budget flow to be followed

    Install, configure ,tune and patch EPM OnPremise Environments

    Migrate existing EPM OnPremise Planning deployments to EPM Planning Cloud, with necessary adjustments when required

    Demonstrable skills implementing Planning security, and knowledge of the various identification systems compatible with EPM Cloud and how to use them with the product

    Perform root cause analyses and recommend relevant updates to the following items: dimensionality and hierarchies, business rules code, metadata properties, data forms and reports, data management processes and others as needed

    Provide input to help guide the development of customer solutions (pre-implementation), as well as address customer questions and concerns regarding the functionality of their Oracle EPM Hyperion environments (post-implementation, ongoing maintenance)

    Collaborate with offshore team members and business customers globally

    Ability to understand customer vitality and sensitivity of the problem

    Strong Verbal and Written communication skills

    Ability to speak and communicate clearly with the customer.
